Few Facts

Mohwak Auto Center in Schenectady New York Stay Away!

This company I believe to be very dishonest and evil.My sister purchased a Ford Thunderbird from them almost 10 years ago. They promise easy payments and sell you a car with a smile. That will be the last time you'll see a smile lol.She made her payments on time for about six months. She hit a rough patch and asked them to help her a bit and they said they would.Well within a few weeks of her being late they made ovetures of repossesion and within a few more weeks they did.

They then sold the Thunderbird at auction and took her to court for the difference!Well years go by and I myself was living in Schenectady and needed a newer car.I hadn't even considered my sister's experience when I went down to Mohawk.

There it was a shiny 1999 Taurus SHO with about 90k on it.Well I had wanted an SHO for a long time so the draw was near irresistiable.I made overtures of an offer and within a few days was driving my nice white SHO.

I made my payments religiously for the better part of a year.I was even working on getting a free payement for never being late.Well personal problems surfaced and I had to leave my home and had lost my job.I made a few payements late after this.

I informed Mohawk of these issues and told them I would make a month payemnt after I was 2 weeks behind in a week.Well 5 days goes by and I come out to the garage(Now I was staying at relatives )and my car was gone!(This was trespassing for sure not my house or property and without warning of notification of their intent to reposess.)

I can even do one better than that! They took the car on a Thursday and brought to an auction by Monday!OMG can you believe the brass on these people.

Well within another few weeks I get a notice that I was supposed to be in court yesterday for a judgement for this car.(Again I was staying with relatives thanks USPS great forwarding!)

Originally the car cost about $7400 roughly I paid over alomst a year $4000 of that amount. So Mohawk greased me for 4k then sells the car at auction for probably 1500 leaving a balance of maybe 1900 they got a judgement for like 4500 because i didn't know I was to be in court.

Do the math here they are trying to get 9000 for car that was supposed to cost me 7400.And what did my 8500 get me?A big nada not a damn thing, nice huh?

I understand the loan agreement and all what Im saying is these people I believe to be parasites wont give you a chance if you have any financial problems.

Did I mention they are a bad\no credit dealer who mainly finances the working poor only to drain them to a dry husk and move on the next victim.

I believe it is their intention that if there is any problems they don't deal at all. This as you have heard works quite well for them.Even if they don't get money from a judgement most of their cars are not worth half of what they are asking for them.

That SHO if I had known better I would have looked around and found one from a private party for 2-3k.You see what I am getting at they are without a doubt in my mind dishonest, it's my belief that their mantra is to sucker, deceive and reposess. In the end they make out like bandits either way they don't give a fart if you keep the car or not.If you make your payements for at least 6 monts they have already made their money 9 times out of ten.

I believe them to be not very nice people don't even think about going there!
